Sweetener Study

In this study, we are evaluating the effects of the long-term use of allulose, a low-calorie alternative to table sugar (sucrose).
All participants will receive reimbursement of €650 upon completion of the study.

Study Schedule

There are 5 visits to our clinic over 8 months.

Study Product

You must consume the allulose daily for 7 months. It will come in small sachets that you mix with water.


In addition to clinic visits, you will be required to attend 2 MRIs at Mater Private Cork

Allulose Info

Allulose is a low-calorie sweetening ingredient that exists in nature and offers the taste and texture of sugar without all the calories. It is 70% as sweet as sugar with only 10% of the calories.
