Meet The Team: Clinical Trial Coordinator, Abigail

International Women's Day is an opportunity to reflect on what has been achieved and what needs to be done to ensure equal opportunities and rights for all women. At Atlantia,  we are proud to be building a workplace where women thrive, with 78% of our team made up of women.

We pride ourselves on the team we have built at Atlantia and recognise that the people we have onboard are central to the success of our organisation. To mark #IWD23 we want to celebrate and highlight all of our female employees and get to know five of them a little bit better...meet our Clinical Trial Coordinator, Abigail!

Tell us about your roll at Atlantia.

I started Atlantia in 2021 as Clinical Trial Assistant and Recruitment Officer combination role. A few months ago I was promoted to Clinical Trials Coordinator, which means coordinating participant visits and helping my team as much as possible. I have gained a great deal of knowledge about clinical trials since joining Atlantia, and recently accepted the opportunity to transfer to the Chicago site, where I am expanding my experience.

What do you enjoy most about working for Atlantia?

I think the best thing about Atlantia is the people and management, everyone is so helpful and friendly. There is a lot of area for progression which is brilliant and it is a fast pace environment which mean there is a lot opportunity to learn about other areas of the business like quality, data or even the science behind it all!

What’s one bit of advice you would give someone who wants to enter your field of work?

Get familiar with different areas you are most interested in and try and get as much experience as possible. Make connections with people in companies you would love to work in and don’t be afraid to reach out to people.

What’s the next place on your travel bucket list?

Travelling and experiencing different cultures is something I love to do, which is why I jumped at the opportunity to visit Chicago, which is definitely one of the top places to visit with so much to do. The next place on my bucket list is Thailand as I want to experience the culture there too!

If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

My favourite meal would have to be any pasta dish – obsessed!
